Spread the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster
I told my cousin 2 years ago

About FSM and she loved it. She even put it on her MySpace page.

Comments:

Care to spread that Gospel my way? I’ve never heard of the FSM before.

From what I can tell it’s in response to some school boards decisions to include intelligient design or creationism as theories in science curriculam. The arguement is that if intelligient design is included that all religions’ creationism theories should be taught, including the theory that the Flying Spaghetti Monster created the world. Most people who wish to have creationism included become offended by this, not realizing that the separation of Church and State requires that all government run institutions (including public school, being funded by the public) are required to treat all religions on equal footing—giving no preferential treatment to one over the other. Creationism or intelligient design doesn’t have a place in public schools because of this. I feel that parents that have an issue with what is taught in public schools have a choice of enrolling their students in private schools or home-schooling them.

P.S. Sorry if this is a little rambling.
