dance and not care if I look stupid
Dance 3 years ago

I went to my brother in law’s family reunion Saturday, have gone to them for years. They are a happy crowd that knows how to let loose, and have fun. I’m always the family photographer and stand by watching and taking pictures while everyone else is dancing. Well my camera battery died at just the right time! The DJ put on “The Electric Slide” I’ve alllllways wanted to learn how to do it, and never had the nerver to get up and try until Saturday. I jumped right in, hell my 4 year old niece was doing it! why not me too! I got some well needed instruction and had a blast, and didn’t care if I looked stupid because I couldn’t do it right.

A little later they did the Soul Train, where everyone lines up in two lines, and room is left in the middle, then someone on each side takes turns dancing down the middle. For the FIRST time I danced down the middle! My family cheered me as I went, “Go Cherri, Go Cherri” It was SOOOO much fun, and I can’t wait to do it again!

Your post doesn't make much sense.

Your point is?

NO ONE is good at everything. I don’t consider it to be low self esteem to acknowledge things I don’t do well. I know what I’m good at, and what I’m not good at. Dancing has never been my thing, therefore I feel I look stupid trying to dance, and who wants to look stupid? I was not in front of a bunch of strangers, I was with family, people that love me and enjoyed seeing me having fun whether I was dancing or not.
