become a ninja (read all 2 entries…)
A question about this goal: Where Exactly do you go in VA for classes? 2 years ago

Answers:

Find the seediest dim sum restaurant in the nearest Chinatown and order the Hunan Chicken with extra “HUUUUU” (yelled with a karate chop). They’ll know what you’re talking about.

HAHAAAAAAA.

It’s unlikely classes will be organised in a formal setting. My advice, such that it is, would be to climb a near mountain and look for education in the wind itself.

A ninja sees the art of combat in the wind and in the mating of the badgers…. and so on…

Okay, I already put this on the main ‘become a ninja’ page, but here goes..

I am a ninja, but not the kind that particularly specializes in stealth – in other words, I’m a Dark Ninja, and my ryu focusses more on the development of personal power – take on ten men and win, be tougher than any non-ninja in a thousand mile radius, that sort of thing.

It can be difficult to find a good teacher – you guys could try http://darkninjaclan.com/

these guys are an authentic ryu actually based in the far east, and they’re propagating their art basically because they realize they’ve kept it so secret for so long that it’s begun to die out. Anyway, the page makes interesting reading – I’ve done the first level under them, it starts out easy and progressively becomes tough – if you go in for this, be prepared to put in a lot of dedication and sweat, but in the end, you’ll be invincible, No kiddin, it works.
