A hole in my heart 3 years ago

I have always felt as though there was a consuming hole in my heart. I have tried filling it with friends, boyfriends, hobbies, food, anything…but I keep coming back to the one thing that has made me feel complete, faith.

and that is just it. As J. Edlredge says in his book “the Sacred Romance”, we are born close to God, but as we grow in the world, a distance becomes… All of those aches and longings are merely our responses to God romancing us back to Him, and no matter where we turn, nothing will fit right until then…

and just like any relationship, we have to work at it to keep it that way…
