Just add people you would like to meet and write a brief entry about why. Some people want to meet Buddha, Ghandi or Hitler, other people want to meet people who they like the sound of by reading their entries in 43 Things, Places or People and others want to meet long lost relatives or friends. Anything goes.

Ensure that on your 43 Things main page you follow the ‘Edit your account’ link and expand the ‘Share more information’ section and check the 43 People box. It should be enabled by default.

You should also check your 43 People site by following the link from 43 Things and check to see if there are any stories waiting to be accepted. Once you accept them you can choose to also want to meet the person (it acts like a two way handshake) or just leave it.

I had an account in the past and had a mixture of people. Some were on the list but we rarely communicated. Others I still chat to now and several I met face to face with for coffee and a chat.

All the same rules should apply as you would use when using the internet for chat regarding safety. Be careful how much information you divulge and don’t go running off to meet people in the middle of a field at midnight. Let common sense and you own instincts for self preservation prevail.
