pay off credit cards
Pay it all OFF... 3 years ago

Started w/ the credit cards when I turned 18 & moved away from home. Bad move. Acquired 8 credit cards that first year & maxed out all but 1. Most of the cards were from department stores like Victoria’s secret, Foleys, Macy’s, JCPenney’s, & a few others, but what happened to all the stuff that I bought? Add a visa & mastercard to the list & those were the cards that gave me considerably large limits, so you can imagine what happened there.

Over the years, I’ve taken care of ALL my bills; I’ve never asked my parents or husband (after we got married) to lend me money & I’ve stopped using credit cards. In fact, after paying off 6 credit cards, I’ve become disgusted with credit cards in general. The only card I use now is my debit card & I’m thankful that money is deducted out of my account right away.

So, 2 more cards are left to pay off & the balances aren’t too bad, so I’m hoping to pay those off in a year or two.

girl you are my inspiration. please send me some comments and encouragement and tips. i’ve been carrying over $10,000 balance for the last 5 yrs. my spending is slowly changing but my balances are even slower. i don’t want my 30’s to be as financially depressing as my 20’s were.
