My partner and his friends thought it’d be a good gag stealing a bird-bath when they were young apprentices. And of course… a cop pulled them over for no particular reason and found them out.

Now this shows up on any police checks on the job for my partner as a larceny. It doesn’t say he stole a bird-bath as a gag… just ‘larceny’. You have to wait 10 years before that becomes a ‘spent conviction’. Guess who the joke was really on? :)
