amendment

I have to add one thing. I was just watching an interview on TV, and the guy made a very insightful point. A lot of people (including myself) feel that our freedom and constitutional rights are more important than total security. This guy stated that as important as our rights are, we have to remember that 3000 people were denied their right to live that day. Now i’m a little torn… I guess there is some rationality behind his philosophy: That as a nation, we may have to be flexible if we want to protect ourselves and others from future attacks.

I don’t trust anyone who uses those deaths as an excuse for anything. Our government didn’t fail us because they didn’t have enough information, they failed us because they didn’t take that information [“chatter”] seriously.

you got that right...

I use that quote all the time.. one of my favorites. There was a lot of suspicious stuff going on before 9/11 (and since for that matter). I just hope our government finds a way to recover some of it’s integrity before things get totally out of hand. I’m guessin we’ll be waiting until at least the end of 2008 for things to change..

I appreciate that "torn" feeling

Some things are just not as black and white as we thought they were when we were kids.
