Hike the triple crown (Appalachian Trail 2000 miles, Pacific Crest Trail 2800 miles, Continental Divide Trail 3000+ miles).
decided to put this down more or less to encourage myself 3 years ago

But I still think this’d be a cool and fun goal to hike at least a decent portion of all 3 of these trails sometime in my lifetime. I’ve hiked portions of the Appalachian Trail before(in Virginia and Tennessee(not sure which states but I’m pretty certain it was these 2, when I was young). I’ve never heard of the Pacific Coast Trail or the Continental Divide Trial before now(I guess that’s what’ll naturally happen to you if you live east of the Mississippi, lol!!), but I’d like to read up on what these 2 trails are like. What states do the PCT and the Continental Divide trail go through? In addition, what would be the best times to hike these 2 western trails? (I’ve read up a decent bit on the Appalachian Trail, but know little about these other 2 trails and would appreciate any advice on them)

Keep in mind I’m NOT interested in hiking the entire length of any of these 3 trails, I just want to hike a decent portion of each of these trails sometime in my lifetime. Thanks y’all for any advice you can give me on these trails.

Some of my favorite childhood memories

included hiking the Appalachian trail with my Dad. Just small bits and pieces, but I adored every moment, even when I was convinced there was a bear in every fallen tree.
