Working on it!

Glad to know I’m not the only one who’s such a lighthouse devotee! This is a relatively recent fascination for me, so I’ve been trying to make up for lost time. Unfortunately, I’m too poor to get to the beach as often as I’d like. Visited so far:

Cape Hatteras Light, North Carolina
Chicago Harbor Light, Illinois
Ponce Inlet Light, Florida
Key West Light, Florida
Barbers Point Light, Hawaii
Makapu’u Point Light, Hawaii

I’ve got some serious work to do!

I’m disappointed I didn’t get around to all of Hawaii’s lighthouses while I was there on vacation recently, because how often is a Kentucky girl going to be in Hawaii? Oh well… good enough reason to find my way back sometime!

Idaaah is feeling blah

Just thought you might have liked to see one of Norway’s prettiest lighthouses. It’s Lindesnes fyr, and is the fartest south you can get in Norway. =)

I hope you manage this goal. Lighthouses are special.

Amazingkae is going to be the shadow of her former self for Halloween.

Lighthouses are Nostalgic

Lighthouses fascinate me, too. There is something about making a land journey to them and taking the time to connect to the sea—and conversely, to use them as a nautical beacon on a water journey. Rather like touching the stones of a wall in an ancient city to gleen a vibe of those who passed by before, to use the lighthouses somehow breathes life into the history of all the travelers who have voyaged before us.

Honoring the mystery of a lighthouse is worth the goal of your journey. Cheers to you!

Beautifully said!

Couldn’t have said it better myself. ;)
