Day 6 - Still 100% Raw

Well, here it is day 6 and I haven’t screwed this up by eating anything cooked yet like I always do. I have made raw pasta marinara for lunch to help me out.

Breakfast
Orange, apple. Nak’d Bar as a snack later in the morning

Lunch
“Pasta” Marinara

Dinner
Marinated vegetables in a romain leaf. Desert: Banana “Ice cream” (frozen banana with almond pieces and mayple syrup).

Here is my recipe for Pasta Marinara if you want it:

Noodles:
1/4 of a swede

Slice thin strips of swede with a vegetable slicer, if you cannot get swede you can use turnip or any squash that you can slice in long strips and cut into noodles

Marinara Sauce:

2 large tomatoes
2 t olive oil
1/4 fresh basil
1 clove garlic
6 dates
1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes

Soak the sun dried tomatoes until soft. Blend in food processor, the tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, basil, and garlic until well blended. Add the dates and olive oil and blend until smooth. This sauce should be thick.

Cheese Sause:
1/3 cup pine nuts
1/3 cup macadamia nuts
1/3 cup walnuts
3 t braggs or shoyu soy sauce
4 t lemon juice
1 cloves garlic
1/2 cup parsley

Blend the pine nuts, macadamia nuts and walnuts in a food processor until ground. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend well, until creamy. If you find that the sauce is too sour add a date to sweeten, if it is too sweet add a little more braggs or shoyu.

Throw some sliced mushrooms on top if you wish and serve with a salad of young leaves.

Thank you, I appreciate your kind comments. It’s nice to receive some words of encouragement.
I think the key thing is to just keep trying, I have reverted back to cooked so manytimes, posting on here has really helped me to stay focused this time.

fall down 7 times, get up 8....

...that’s the secret to success!

you’re well on your way, and a super motivator for the rest of us cooked folks.

yay you!

JadedShade has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
