wake up early and enjoy my mornings
Here's the plan. (Week 18 Sept. to 24 Sept.)

Two days a week I have to leave by 6:30am to commute to class.
Two days a week I wake up at 6:15 and stumble out the door, only taking time to make sure the dogs are set for the day.
Two days a week it really sucks…but driving into the sunrise over the bridge is a beautiful reward.

I’d love to get into the habit of consistently waking around the same time the other 5 days a week. I love the smell of the morning, I am tired of rushing through it.

Monday morning’s goal:
Wake at 5:30. Shower, eat breakfast, play with the dogs, enjoy a leisurely morning before I leave.

Tuesday morning’s goal:
Wake between 5:30 and 6am. Go for a short jog. Shower, eat breakfast, play with the dogs. Bike to my morning appointments.

Wednesday:
Repeat of Monday (Wake at 5:30. Shower, eat breakfast, play with the dogs, enjoy a leisurely morning before I leave.)

Thursday:
Repeat of Tuesday. (Wake between 5:30 and 6am. Go for a short jog. Shower, eat breakfast, play with the dogs. Bike to my morning appointments.)

Friday:
Wake between 5:30-6am. Go for a short jog, eat breakfast, shower, play with the dogs. Leave for my late morning class on-time.

Saturday:
Wake around 6am. Eat breakfast, take my bike out to the bike trail for a morning ride.

Sunday:
Wake around 6am. Eat breakfast. Either take my bike out again, or take the dogs to the park.

That’s the plan. I’ll check in next week to see if I accomplished any of the days succesfully.

Thanks!

The picture is even a local bridge, not the one I go over in the morning…but the sunrise is just as spectacular.

So far I have gotten up around the same time 3 days in a row, only two did I need to get up that early. I am anxiuosly waiting to my body to adjust, not so much to getting up early, but to falling asleep at a realistic hour. Two am is not realistic! =)

Tomorrow is a day I know I’ll be extremely tempted to sleep in. I won’t!
