go raw (read all 15 entries…)
Day 7

Well today I started out Raw, but I eat some cooked food at lunch time. My Mother had asked me to go have dinner with her on Saturday night because it was her birthday the day before, I was glad when she canceled because I wanted to make sure I stayed Raw, but today she asked to grab lunch with her.
The place she wanted to go to is a Cantonese and Thai place, we went there and I eat some raw and some cooked.

I don’t feel bad about it though, my mindset is still focused on Raw and I don’t feel like I should just eat more cooked because I have “screwed up”. So, Raw dinner tonight and I will continue with my Raw diet tomorrow.

When I got home from the restaurant I took some Chinese herbs that I have that promote digestive function (I honestly would tell you the names of them but even though I am learning Mandarin I cannot read it at that level yet), I got them from a traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner for help with some acne I had about 9 months ago.

I also took some Bentonite Clay and Psyllium Husk (also referred to as a P&B Shake) to help get rid of the toxins from the cooked food and to keep my digestion moving so that this cooked food does not set me back much, if at all.

My face still feels really soft and toned, I really like touching it. I have to stay raw, I wont give up the improved skin appearance, high energy level and well being like I have in the past.

I think the main thing I can offer you from this experience is this: Don’t feel bad if you give in and eat cooked at any time. Cooked is the way you eat your entire life, it won’t change overnight, but if you stick with it you will continually learn new ways to stay raw.
You just have to stay focused on the goal and keep things in perspective.

Breakfast
Apple, Kiwi, Banana

Lunch
Cooked (oh well). The key thing is I didn’t eat too much.

Dinner
Nak’d Bar, Pear, Grapes
I drank lemon water with maple syrup around dinner time too.

Today was around 60% Raw, I really didn’t eat that much when I think about it though.

I am very much looking forward to jumping back on the proverbial 100% raw wagon tomorrow!
