The school is really doing this right now. First grade is a heavy learning to read year. I’m leaving this on my list since I need to stay accountable for reading and practicing at home – I can’t just leave it up to the school.

This can be so hard for kids.
One of the best books I have found for teaching kids to read is “Teach Your Child To Read In 100 Easy Lessons” By Siegfried Engelmann.”In only 20 minutes a day, this remarkable step by step program teaches your child to read with the love, care and joy only a parent and child can share.”
It is the perfect supplement to learning at school.
