Long Mile Run

I ran my heavy day today. I managed to shave my time from 1:24 to 1:10. I’m still not sure how many miles it is. I think it’s about 8 miles.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to measure the mileage better? I use google maps and I was thinking about driving the route and using the odometer.

But then… what’s in a number, right?

edit.

I love 43things.com, the guy a few entries below me listed his route. Great! Thanks!! I’m listing mine now:

Comments:

Garmin Forerunner

I’m using a Garmin Forerunner 301 to keep track of my mileage. Although it is somewhat inaccurate between buildings, I wouldn’t want to miss it. The newer Forerunner 305 seems to be based on a new GPS chip set providing much better accuracy, but the problem was not large enough for me to make me buy one. If you are interested, I’ve written something about my experience with the Garmin here on 43things.
