Visit the Great Lakes Brewing Co (and whatever else is interesting in Cleveland, OH) (read all 9 entries…)
Another place on my list

Cuyahoga Valley near Cleveland is one of the newest national parks, just designated in 2000.

A visit there is necessary to complete this goal.

Comments:

I was just there last week!

We had our company picnic in one of the reservations and it was beautiful! As we were driving in I took this photo because it looked nifty… I wish the person had been just a tooch more centered but I was in a moving car after all, lol!! :)

idkbrblol is taking a breather ☺

visit the Warther Museum in Dover, OH!

If you’re driving from any state such as Illinois or Tenessee or the other side of Pennsylvania, you might as well go see this too. I think it’s near the central Eastern part of of Ohio.

(feel free to skip to about 6m,45s)

I pertinear had to be dragged there, “Oh grr-ate; we’re going to see a few carved trains – yippefrikkindoo.”
Those trains were incredible!!
Sorry, I mean, “those trains were credible!” Tiny hand-carved in-laid ivory cursive letters!! (I think some were cursive – been a few years)
The guy must have been an actual carving genius! [sic] Some experts [with engineering-type degrees have said that one of his (working) carvings] was “physically impossible”
German carvers named him a master carver.
(And he did the carvings from memory!!)

The pictured inlaid word may’ve been misspelled, but then he only had a second-grade education!

Sounds interesting

I would probably be coming in from the west on I80 so it’s a bit south, but it isn’t too far out of the way- I’ll keep it in mind for next time. Thanks for the tip! :)

TG has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
