I’m almost finished learning katakana, which will put two of the syllaberies under my belt. All that’ll be left is kanji, but there’s something like 10,000 kanji characters. Bah!
Also I start Japanese lessons on October 4th, so hopefully I’ll be able to construct more than the simple sentence soon.
Working with Japanese people has done a lot for my vocabulary though. At least the slang vocab. Like “ikemen” is the young person’s way of saying “handsome.” More like an equivalent of “hot” or “fly” in America.
