I have become friends with a deaf kid named Jason. I like him and he’s a sweetheart but I usually cant understand what he says and he cant understand me either, he mostly reads my lips. Ive already picked up a few words just by being around him, but I’d like to master sign language so we can get along better.
What you’re doing is really wonderful. I used to have a neighbor who is deaf too, and he was really nice and likes to make people laugh. He would even do backflips! But we’ve moved twice since so I haven’t seen him for years.
