Someone once told me “don’t be the best collector of your own art!”

And it’s true.
I paint Oils/oil pastels on canvas (large format, 8’ squares) and so they’re really piling up!

I got into a show that was for local artists and didn’t sell the painting that was shown, but at least got some experience in showing—it was scary!

I’d like to do a small salon with friends, but smaller format stuff—hard for me to paint small.

Maybe some day!

I've shown...

In collectives down in Mexico,...but then I moved over here to the USA, and got married, had the bunch of kids and stopped thinking about all that.

I don’t want to keep the paintings, I give most of them away.
I don’t hang any of them at home, or else I keep pulling them down and changing them.
I love sculpture and I hope to some day have the time/place to do that, I only have a few pieces that I gave to my sister, or are stored away.
Art shows were fun, but they are a luxury I don’t have time for now.
