have a creative job that I love!!! (read all 5 entries…)
first step? 3 years ago

ok. what i wanna do is – handicrafts? making jewellery?? handbags?.. teaching kids some creative skills (that’s probably more for the future)..

what we shall do – we’ll create something cute and then try to sell it. through ebay. or just posting into some webpage/forum. or whatever. and see what will happen.

i say “we” – but that’s actually “me”, just 1 person. when i talk to myself i just always use “we”.

idea

Why don’t you make one of everything you can think of take photo’s and make a flier/webpage/ broshure.. can’t spell it !
And feature what you make on there!
pass it out promote yourself and your work!
and take orders only!
nothing is pre made everything is customed just for you!
I have been trying to get my mom todo this because what sells one year won’t sell next year or what ever the case is just make one so your not wasting supplies!
and then she is stuck with what she don’t sell! and well that discourages her! so only make to order! and have them put a slight down payment for stuff so your not wasting your time! and on your clearence! put the stuff that people don’t come and get!
:)

thanks for the advice! :) well i thought in this way in the future – but i have to make some stuff now in advance so that i can make fotos of it (i’ve just moved to canada, so all my masterpieces are left in Russia! :) ) hey i’ve got a question – is it ok to do all this without registering any company/business?? did your mom do that??

Well I am in the USA

I’m in the us so i’m not sure what the rules are in Canada, but if your just a free lance worker then no.. if you would need to have something only if you made x amount of money. then in the states you would file out a 1099 sole profider.. your company # would be your SS# if that makes any sence!
Hope it helps!

thanx a lot!:-)
