It’s the first time in weeks that I’ve actually been home for a whole evening. I took the opportunity to do some dishes that had been collecting. I also gathered up the trash. I cleaned the mirrors. I changed the baking soda in the refrigerator and freezer. I also collected the recycleables to drop off on Saturday. It may not seem like a lot, but it’s more than I’ve done in the last two weeks.

How Long?

I’m not quite sure how long Shannon. There were two spoons, three forks, a knife, three big plates, one small plate, two small bowls and three large bowls. The one big bowl was in the sink with water in it and it had some of the smaller stuff soaking in it. My guess is that bowl had been in the sink for two weeks. Out of those two weeks though I was gone five days, and didn’t eat at home for six other days. Other than the stuff that was soaking, everything else was essentially clean or at least rinsed.

Besides, I’m a guy and I live alone, so I can get away with it. :)

Hell, I’ve got 3 kids and on occassion I’ll find the lone sippy cup that’s been hiding underneath someone’s bed for “quite some time”.

Bachelor’s do things differently.

Don’t worry hun, I didn’t take it as a critique.

Here’s another bachelor trait of mine. I do my laundry about once a month. The clean laundry will sit in the laundry basket and laundry bag until it’s time for me to do laundry again. I actually have enough clothes to go three or four months without doing laundry, so it’s not like I need the stuff that hasn’t been put away. It helps me keep a good rotation so I don’t wear the same thing too often. :)

Aww, all us ladies are picking on Todd...

...when Shannon is totally right about stuff like the sippy cup scavenger hunts that mommies have to go through (i.e. DAMN it all…I know there’s supposed to be five of these things? On all fours, looking under the sofa and finding all sorts of strange wildlife Where…the…heck…IS…IT?)

I have to admit I found a pizza box under my bed that had to have been there for like three years. It was empty, but it was still a surprise to find.

Now if only I could find those shirts I bought my parents a few years ago for Christmas…
