it didn’t make it through the DEQ test. I called Neville 10/10/06 and left a message to ask when I can bring in the Spitfire.
(no answer yet). I know that it means taking the whole thing ALL apart again (and he isn’t aware that I KNOW that is what needs to be done). He seems to be shining me on by telling me to drive it and so forth. I can’t get the car registered without it passing DEQ.
I am not mad (yet) ..he just needs to make this right (under warranty) because I paid Neville a bundle to get it running again.
tried to get the car through last week

you're right
it may not be the huge problem I think it might be. I am taking it in to him on Monday. I have concerned that something major is wrong but lets hope it is “just” the (brand new not even driven 5 miles) valve.

It is one year short..
of being considered an antique (if it was a 1974 it wouldn’t be required to pass the DEQ test). However, at this point I am happy it is a requirement ..because it flunked I got a compression test. It flunked both wet and dry (I took it to a 2nd garage for an opinion). The car is “missing” also. :(!
