Funny and sweet

Spent some time with Jordan. We went out and bought a meter of heavy silver chrome chain to hang a punch bag up somewhere. We bought it from a B & Q (a hardware type home/garden shop)the girl on the till was quite a livewire and started to chat Jordan up, asking him what year of school he was in (he was still in Uniform) I was amused to watch this little interaction watching her flirt outrageously whilst my son fought with his teenage awkwardness.

Bless :)

That's cute!

A friend of mine took her 5’10” gorgeous half maori son shoe shopping many moons ago and after watching the 18 or 19 year old girl flirt outrageously with him for 10 minutes, took great pleasure in dropping into the converstion that he was only 13 years old!!

Ooops!

hehe

Jordan has just turned 14 and is already 5’11 and he’s a great looking kid too, but duh I would say that, Im biased!

I’m gonna take a wild gamble that your friend was female…

Are all women so protective of their sons I wonder? I know I am with my daughter. When Amber gets a call and its a boyfriend (she’s 12) I go into interrogation mode and make them squirm a little, I just can’t help myself!

Hahaha!

Yep, my friend was (is) a doting mum (her ‘little’ boy is now 19 and attracting his fair share of attention from the opposite sex!)

I think you’re right – Dads protect their little girls and Mums protect their sweet little boys!

I’m 32 and my dad (and brother, actually!) sussed out my man before they gave the thumbs up! Even tho he really likes J, I think dad still thinks no one’s quite good enough for his little girl! (he still calls me ‘Bub’ sometimes! Bless!)

And speaking as a daughter, I love it!

:D

I wonder whether its the case of where people are close to their families then, without approval some relationships just fizzle out!

Yes

I think that if my family were really against the man I was with it would make it very difficult. I dont think that would ever happen though, as I think having a healthy relationship with my family members means that I actually like them as people, so the people I’m attracted to are quite similar to my family – so they’ve always gotten along with my friends and boyfriends.

I’m assuming that if I had problems with, for example, my dad – I may subconsciously choose men who are opposite to him… which means that he wouldn’t like them (or perhaps I’d take pleasure in ‘bringing home’ guys that I know would drive him crazy?? Hahaha!)

Anyway – none of that applies and I am… once again… rambling!
