I love the sensation of climbing into a sun-warmed car on a cool day… the feeling of the heat soaking into my body.

Of course, once I’m thoroughly warmed up, there’s usually a mad scramble to get the windows down, and the air-conditioning on. But those first few moments are truly glorious.

Much like getting into a warm shower or bath… or a nice warm bed on a cold night.

Tis a great feeling.

When I was younger, sometimes Mom and I would go out to read in the car on a sunny but cold day.

Once I fell asleep there on the back seat b/c I was so warm and drowsy… I woke up later and Mom had gone in the house. Said she didn’t want to wake me. “Well, you just looked so peaceful,”she said.

It’s a good thing I don’t have huge abandonment issues. That could have had me in therapy for years.
