Working in UN. Such a fantastic thing! I start to work there in the tech branch: the ICC. Hope to work there in as long as possible

Hi, i am applying for vacancies at the UN systema.
Tell me how long can it take to get a job (wiht apropiate PHP and resum).
Also, i would like to know if there is an interview necesarily, as i live in Spain…

Yes, to apply for vacancies you have to go to the official UN sites. There are many agencies like WFP, ICC, UNHCR, etc.
Once you apply the form of your cv, you have to await. In that system maybe one day will call you, ,aybe not. Don’t expect ready answers.
Once you’re lucky to receive a job date prepare yourself to have a hard job interview in english (sometimes in other lenguages more).
I did 4 job interview in the last 3 years…
Once done this job interview just wait for the call to work. They only call you if they need you. No other chances, as far as I know.

-does the interview take place in New York (i live in Spanin)?
-how do they call you: phone, email, mail…?
-are there any web pages about UN employees, forums, chat or whatever that could help me?
-is it enough to apply from UN galaxy systema web page only, are the only vancacies of other Institutions on that page?
