I’ve had this goal on my list since before we publicly released 43 Things, and while I’ve made no progress on it, it is still a really important goal to me. I’ve resisted the easy thing – which would be to delete it – since I have no real plan for ever making good on it. But last night, I had the first inkling of how I might set to work on this one. And it involves accomplishing another one of my goals too. Plus a family legacy.

Sometimes things just need to germinate for a few years.

I worked as a journalist for 5 years. OK, so it was only a regional daily in the UK, not a national or a glam magazine or anything.
BUT; I can honestly say I would get home after a day at work and think “My God, they paid me to do what I love? How lucky am I?!”

The only journalism that is truly pants is PR writing. I did this for 2 years. STEER CLEAR. IT WILL SUCK YOUR SOUL!

By the way…while I am on…I have 2 PS’ thinggies.

Let me just say how much I love 43 Things. What fun! It is my treat to tootle about on this site in between working (I am now a childrens B&W photographer)

How do you delete something on your list that has been transferred to the I have given up on this? Long story but managed to put a dumb ass thing on there and cant wipe it off!

Thanks for that! BUT…
Hmmmm, tried, and it wont work.

I was telling a friend about 43 Things and showing her how some people put dumb stuff on their lists and typed in this thing. I accidentally put it on my list instead of searching for people who had put it on their lists and in horror moved it to my “Evosnapper has given up on this goal”, list.

SO…I have tried to follow your top tip for removing but when something has been moved to “have given up on this goal” list it doesnt work.

I was obvioulsy haing a total DUR moment when all this happened!

By the way, no, havent seen Riches with Mr Izzard. What is it? I assume some kind of comedy show?
In the UK he was very much a stand up touring comedian, although he hasnt been about for a bit – I guess now I know why – he is across the pond enjoying the sun!
