I’d love to be in your Junto.

Where do you want to meet? How strictly do you want to keep it to the BF version? Will we each go around and ask each other if we have any grudges in the group, or have experienced any form of success or failure to share with the group, etc?

I think a lot of our ideas are circling around this idea… I’m personally working on two other versions of this (Office Hours, and now McLeod) and think that they can benefit from each other by being slightly different from one another.

I think I’d be interested. Will it somehow involve Whiskey?

I certainly hold all who have responded thus far in high esteem and do faithfully “endeavor impartially to find and receive [truth] myself” whenever possible. My circle has been, for some time, quite limited to small children and their tired parents which has affected my intellect in unfortunate ways that I wish to undo. Therefore, gentlemen, and ladies if there be any, please accept my interest in your junto most sincerely.

However, you’ve inspired me to look into organising a salon in my own area. Get the French back to their 17th century roots. Way back in my high school AP Euro-history class, we’d do this once a month or so, Salon de Teigan, aptly named after our professor.

I also like what Franklin’s junto can add to the traditional salon. The combination of mutual improvement and “please and educate” is perfect.

I’d be into some junto action. Perhaps after we get home in a month or so…
