Sometimes people I buy gifts for mention to me things they would like to get (especially when it is not close to the time to buy for them) and when it is time to buy them I have usually forgotten what it was. So I want to start an ongoing list that I keep with me so that when people mention these things I can write them down. Then when it is time to get a gift I will have a list of suggestions.

I’ve been doing this for some time. Sometimes I get gifts way far in advance of the event using this idea …... Christmas gifts in January for example. But not everybody gives me the right cues so I still have to give it my best guess about half the time.
