I’ve been accumulating air miles on Contental Airlines for a while now and praying that they remain without an expiration date. According to their website’s frequent flyer program it will take 140,000 flight miles for an economy “round the world” ticket. I’m actually going to try for a “business class” flight for a mere 220,000 flight miles. At this rate perhaps in 5 years I’ll be able to get that round the world ticket which lets you stop over in up to 6 cities as long as the travel is continually eastbound or westbound without backtracking. I should still be teaching and have my summers free to do this by the time I have the miles saved up…..just hope they don’t change that “never expires” policy.
