she’s 10 going on 20. change is coming. I know when I was 12 I had to make decisions concerning all of the above. You can’t be with them all the time but she’ll know I’ll aways be available if she needs me. Plus by that time she’ll have her 2nd degree black belt, working towards her 3rd degree I hope.

I guess if you just be there for her like you said, she’ll be able to be a confident lady!
Being there is easy, knowing what to say or do can be challenging. Looking at how she is right now I’m not that worried but 7th grade is coming and its such a huge change in scene. It is a coming of age year.
I think I need a ritual to help her along (and me). Too bad a tattoo isn’t socially acceptable at that age. We could have the same piercing though. I’ll have to think about this.
