Be a crazy cat lady (read all 2 entries…)
My qualifications... 3 years ago

-I am a college student, so I can’t afford to support many, many cats, but I was going to skip out of college if I couldn’t find an off-campus place that would take my cat. I wouldn’t live in the dorms because she couldn’t come along.
-My cat has a website and a MySpace. I have neither.
-I dedicated a whole wall to my cat at my last apartment. I had a mosaic, several signs, a bracelet someone made me, pictures, medical documents, etc.
-I saved the canine my cat had extracted.
-I used to work at a vet clinic, so I had the ability to be with her all day. I stayed with her for over eight hours before her dental, and popped in to say hi several times during my shift.
-I have her name tattooed on my arm.
-Before I would date my boyfriend, he had to prove to me he could get along with her (even though he wasn’t a cat person).
-My cat also had to like him, even though she hates most people.
-I don’t have a single article of clothing not laced in cat hair.
-I’m allergic, and it sucks, but hypoallergenic air is only a window away.
-I have more cat decor than I know what to do with.

And I just have to say that I’m so proud that my boyfriend is now showing signs of turning into a cat person:
-He told me, “I’m starting to see what you crazy cat ladies see in having cats.”
-He baby talks to my cat, and he’s normally very monotonous and vapid.
-He talks to her in German, which she prefers over English.
-He chases her around the house to “get her nose” or “look at her toes” or cuddle with her.
-He has given up trying to remove the cat hair from his clothes.

Comments:

Hilarious!

I wouldn’t recommend dropping out of college though, unless a really good paying job comes along.

PS: I used to have two cats, one of which died less than a year ago :(, so now I only have one cat and a dog.
