march in a pride parade
Ah, the Dyke March in SF, 2006. 3 years ago

I’d probably remember it in greater detail had I not personally finished off most of a bottle of white wine at the park – my friends all ended up drinking beer, with the exception of a few swallows of my wine – but I still recall enjoying every bit of the march. Especially when the parade route passed by Good Vibrations, and I tried on a black leather harness (over my jeans) for the first time! Sadly, no photos are allowed in that shop…everything else about it is pretty spectacular though. What an amazing all-around experience that was! I’d been quite enthusiastic at the park before the march, cheering the speakers and such…one girl I’d met along the way there said, “Damn, when girlfriend came out she came OUT!!” I was very complimented. :)

Comments:

I live in NC now

but grew up in the Bay Area. People here don’t understand how I had always had a little regret that I was so straight. I mean, couldn’t god have placed me just a little further along the continuum of sexual orientation so I could attain the top of the food chain and be the much sought after “bi-curious female?” Sigh. Guess not.

This entry reminded me of home.

Fred is going to be productive today!

That's fascinating!

I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone wanting to be less straight. :) Pretty cool, though. Glad I could provide a bit of nostalgia!

evenstar42 Merry Christmas all :o)

Careful what you wish for...

...unless you’d be resigned to being curious all your life; in my experience, once you cross the line from bi-curious to satisfied curiosity it stops being sought-after and becomes threatening to a lot of men.
