Understand what the Sufi Mystics were saying with their poetry (read all 3 entries…)

Every child has known God,
Not the God of names,
Not the God of don’ts,
Not the God who ever does
Anything weird,
But the God who knows only 4 words
And keeps repeating them, saying:
“Come Dance with Me.”
Come Dance.
—Hafiz (1320-1389)

Tha Gensta of 2008 NEW & IMPROVED... is trying to remember the "43Things"!...

From the movie "The Crow"

Quote:

“Mother is God on the lips of every child”

Or something along those lines… (i need to get the movie on DVD)

Thank you!

Hafiz always opens my heart. To find him quoted here is like running into an old friend at a crowded marketplace. :-)

Just this morning

Just this morning I was mentioning to a friend that to understand me, you will have to believe me when i tell you:
>>>>>>>allegorically that is ;)
Once I was in the audience somewhere
and before I went home that day I had become one of the actors in the show
THROUGH NO WILL OF MY OWN ;)
This is what meditation did for me.

So your example of meeting and old friend in a crowded marketplace is more than a coincidence for me. :) :) :)
SO MANY PEOPLE RESONATE WITH THE SUFI POETRY!!!
(except men younger than 30 that is ;)
lock ‘em all up I say!!!! :) :) :)

Thank you, and for whatever it's worth...

... I’m pretty sure I was under 30 when my then-girlfriend introduced me to Hafiz. But I’ll keep your theory in mind. ;-)

The girlfriend

was a gift from God then :)

All girlfriends...

... are a gift from God… or Goddess. :)

Come dance with me

So perfect….
