awful movie. absolutely bloody awful. humour was sacrificed for a contrived plot which bore little or no resemblance to anything that happened in the radio or tv series or the books. the only character trait of ford prefect which remained was his inability to understand sarcasm, which suddenly became the mainstay of his personality, rendering him humourless. and the ending. don’t even TALK to me about the ending. nearly vomited.

the only good things were alan rickman as marvin, stephen fry as the book, and bill bailey as the sperm whale :)
