Doing well with the good words and good deeds. the good thoughts are much more challenging for me. Having an OCD makes it feel like it’s impossible to achieve.

I understand fully what you mean...

what do you do to overcome your OCD ?

Mo7

Well...

I haven’t overcome it yet. It’s really difficult. I go through moments where it calms down, and others where it it really flares up.

But what I try to do is at the beginning of the month, or the year, I tell myself that I will not succemb to it. It works for a whil because it’s a sort of fresh start, but I need to learn how to prolong that determination to keep it away.

how many years do you have OCD ?

also if you want to share, how old are you and where are you from ?
I’m 37, the OCD “exploded” when i was 27… and i’m from ISRAEL

Mo7

I’m 24 and from Botswana, but I live in Paris now.

I remember noting that I was thinking wierd things in 1998, I think I was about 15. It’s been with me ever since.

I hate it! How are you dealing with your OCD?

I hate it too !

i’m doing quite a lot. at least i try.
I’m taking medication which i looked hard for (Anafranil), and meeting a therapist who is an expert with OCD.
I have translated about more then 20 articles into hebrew which i publish in my own web site.
I’m also in charge of the content of a forum on the web for People with OCD in ISREAL.

Mo7 has gotten 3 cheers on this entry.
