Flight: $5-700
Eurail pass (if you decide to get one): $3-700, depending on what kind/how many days of travel you buy.
Hostels: $15-30 a night
Food: You can easily get by spending only $5 a day, if you buy groceries. Breakfasts are often included at hostels…not huge, but enough to get you going. If you eat out, budget $15-35 a day, depending on where you eat, how nice it is, etc.
Museums, galleries and the like can cost anywhere from $2-14 for admission. Some countries have free museums (i.e. all of London’s amazing museums are free), others totally rape you, take advantage of your tourist status. But, they are all totally worth it.
I was in Europe for 7 weeks and altogether I only spent about $3000-3500. $400-500 a week. Not too bad.

As others have mentioned, it depends upon where you’d like to go.
I only have experience with traveling through western Europe.
- ($60 a day for lodging and meals)= $840
- $600 for Eurail pass (for the Saver pass + those reservation fees rail companies sometimes tack on)
http://www.eurail.com/
- $250 spending money for souvenirs and museum passes (or club/bars if thats your thing)
- $500 roundtrip airfare via IcelandAir
if you book OFF season and reserve early! look for their “Super Saver Economy Class” price
Comes out to about $2200 for 2 weeks
and about $2600 for 3 weeks.
Good luck!
Hope this helps.
