Fall in love (read all 2 entries…)
Ok, here comes the entry from the "old" lady...

I’m concerned that a young German is sending partially nude photos of himself to someone he has yet to meet. Trust me, I’m not a prude. I’m a 55-year-old artist/writer/photographer. I was divorced eight years ago and have occasionally gone on places like match and yahoo to see if there is someone new and interesting out there. In August, I started writing to a man I thought was my dream come true. He sent his photo and I almost fainted he was so handsome. We kept writing and he was intense—telling me I was his angel and that he wanted to marry me. Pretty dramatic, eh? Then came the reality. He allegedly was an art dealer in London who was going on a buying trip to Nigeria. While he was on his trip, he suddenly told me he was coming to Boston! Yikes. Some kind of bell went off in my head as well as the heads of all my close friends. That’s when we learned I was just about to get caught up in a Nigerian money laundering scam. When I told him not to bother coming to Boston that I would prefer to go to London the following month, I never heard from him again. I don’t know how old you are but the intense “i want to be with him” feelings won’t stop with this penpal. Take it from this “old” lady who has seen more than you, there are too many red flags flying here. Either go to the library and pull out some books on relationships or do some research online, but, trust me, when you are already questioning how YOU feel you should listen to your gut. Take the money you were going to spend on Germany and take off for the US Virgin Islands. My suggestion is St. Croix where the men outnumber the women and are horny as all get out. Stay at a nice hotel where you’ll feel safe. The guys will make you feel sexy, you can dance and play all night and learn a little bit more about where you want to go in life. Have some fun before you get serious with a guy who would send such a goofy photo of himself. Whatever you do, stay safe. I only wish you well. Cheers, Kathy
