While I was in Hong Kong recently, I decided to upgrade my camera. I got the Canon Ixus 700 – I don’t want the hassle of hauling an SLR around – BTDT took no decent pictures – but I wanted something with less shutter lag, more zoom and a higher resolution than my Ixus 330 – but compatible with my software and with my Canon portable printer…
Still getting used to it, but it looks lovely, and it’s sooo tiny (I know size doesn’t matter…)
Hong Kong prices meant I got it for £242.00 including the leather case, 512Mb SD card and a pair of swimming goggles (don’t ask)... I also got 1Gb SD and Compact Flash cards, SD as a spare and CF for the old camera, for £40 a pop. I’m not sure I needed to get 1Gb for the 330 – it can now handle 1032 pictures at a time… (The 700 will do about 400 at 7.1 megapixels).
So I sorted out my Flickr account to make use of it and to try and progress one on my 43 things…
