run a 10k this fall (read all 3 entries…)
Upcoming 10ks in Seattle? 3 years ago

I was reviewing my list this morning and wondered why I don’t take this overdue “run a 10k” off my list. I’ve run a half marathon, a 5k and plenty of normal daily running. But never a 10k race. It’s not for the race aspect, but more because I think that 10k is going to feel like the right distance to run. When I run on my own I’m happiest in the 5-7 mile range.

Does anyone know when the next 10k is in the Seattle area? I’ve completely fallen off my running routine in the wettest Seattle month in history (not to mention snow and ice).

What about your teammate?

I know plenty of upcoming 10k’s. I also have some great resources on finding them, let me know if you want some of those.

Can I pick which 10k we run? Where are the next 2 or 3?

To get a list of races in your area try www.active.com. Look under individual sports and select running. Enter your city or zip code and you can select the month you want to do a race in. It’s what I use all the time to schedule my husbands races. They have links to register for the event and links to the events website.

I’m planning on running a 10k in May with Deni H down in Mississippi. Let me know when you’re going to run your 10k and maybe I can fly out and join you too.
