robert is checking out 43t
From her house at 10am, whereby we drove into London with the aim of going to Brent Cross Shopping centre to buy a few xmas bits and bobs.
Can you believe that we got there only to be greeted by a sign saying ‘welcome, we open at 12 midday’ we were not impressed as it was only 10:40am and the idea of hanging in a car park didn’t exactly inspire us with thoughts of how cool, so we jumped back into the motor and headed back up the A41 to pick up the A1M.It was at this moment I remembered that there is this place called the Harlequin centre in Watford, full of shops and all that – 20 minutes later, after significant queues to enter the car park there we were.
1st stop was M&S whereby we perused various apparel. Apparently I have zero fashion sense, so yup, we didn’t buy anything there. Next stop was GAP. I like GAP its the kinda shop that makes me feel a little younger than what I am. Picked up a nice couple of scarves. One for Dad for xmas and one for me, for now. Next stop was at a Cookie stall whereby we bought a Banana Toffee Muffin, followed by a stop at Thorntons for some nice yummy chocolates. I was pleased to see there was a John Lewis there too, so we mooched around there for a while, picking up some wrapping paper and a few zillion ideas for new home furnishings. Apparently I need to replace everything I own and use the funds from that Money tree I have that produces 50 pound notes…Kids! After a few more stop offs for things like cards, a present + flowers for Eda, some food for dinner, we headed on home to put up the xmas tree.
She (thats Amber not the cats mother) loves doing all that stuff so i was happy to get on and play mum putting the pies and pre roast spuds in the oven, whilst nibbling on some of those yum Thorntons chocs washed down with Strawberry Smoothie. :D
