I’m guessing most people are doing this and just not talking about it, but just in case…
Drink TONS of water—not soda/pop, not coffee, not tea, water. I mean it, like at least a gallon a day. I don’t care if it means you’ll hit the bathroom more often; that’s how your body is supposed to work! Not only will you clean out residual “stuff” that’s lurking in your system but your body will get used to a steady supply of water and will thus store less. You may not drop 10 pounds, but you’ll drop some for sure, plus you’ll feel better, have more energy, live healthier, etc. Pay a personal trainer to work with you and (s)he will tell you the same thing. Water is essential.
When I had a trainer I was enlightened to the eat-5-or-6-times-a-day routine: healthy breakfast, decent lunch, decent dinner, and a small, balanced nip or two of food in between each and after dinner. Basically, about every 3 hours eat something balanced (i.e. protein, carbs, veggies). Wow, what a difference… I had much more energy throughout the day (as opposed to the ups and downs of eating and then going hungry for 6 or so hours) and the pounds melted away.
Just my personal experience. Your mileage may vary.
