who here does pastels?

I’m having a LOT of problems with them these days…

if somebody has a tip or technique of keeping pastel DARKS very DARK, I’d love to know what it is…

Its very frustrating that I can’t seem to manage DEEP darks…

I’ve been focusing on LIGHT… but that gets tiresome if you can’t make contrasts…

Also, I know that when it comes to pastels, the quality of the medium is important, or other words, the expensive ones work better.

& started doing watercolour underpaintings…
