It’s a great idea.. Just wanted to add an advice. As everywhere else there is a huge difference between the countries – even the ones right next to each other. So if I was you I would make sure to travel in as many of the different countries and cultures as possible. There are the usual places to visit: Go to a couple of the southest countries for example Greece and Italy, visit countries like France and the Netherlands. But if I was you I would make sure to visit the nordic countries as well. Very beautiful and very different. And the old Eastern Europe is very fascinating but quite a different experience. Sorry I know it’s probably not making any sense, but I just want you to have a great trip :) – and since I live in Denmark I just wanted to wish you good luck and welcome ;)

gracias!!

Thanks so much for the advice!! My ultimate goal in traveling is learning as much as I can from the people and the culture of the different countries. Thanks so much for the warm welcome:) If you have any specific suggestions of little towns or large towns or events or museums or some must see places or people, please let me know:)

small towns

i spent some time in europe w/ my family and although most of it i didnt enjoy (because we were in big cities) i did have alot of fun in the smaller towns we visited…we went to avignon, france which was smaller but it had so much culture, although when i was there we got to see a protest and i cant promise that will be the same…haha…theres a whole strip of good shopping though which was nice…also its sister city is sienna, italy which is SO pretty…especially at night…go to the main “square” thats really more of a circle because its really where everyone goes to play music and just hang out at night! another thing, the only big city i liked was london which was clean and everyone was nice, even the cab drivers…theres so much to do there…i went to see a show…but i waited on standby for the experience and ended up seeing guys and dolls in box seats and getting an autograph after the show…basically just do things that are spontaneous and it will be MUCH better! oh…and have fun!

Wow! That's my dream too!

I wanted to go backpacking throughout Europe with my sister too before I turned 30, but circumstances prevented that from happening. I did go with her to visit friends in Spain & Germany—We had so much fun!

I wish you and your sister the very best & Hope you can share your adventures! I found this website that might be helpful:

Good luck & God Bless!!
