I just had a talk with my boss to see if I could really do this on the side – and I’ve gotten the go. OMG. That means that when I go to the Chamber of Commerce on dec 22, I can really do this. I will own my very own company. And I don’t have to be secretive about it anymore.
Yesterday I scored my fifth lead – I am looking at at least 3 customers for the next year, which means I meet the criteria for the epiteth ZZP/Freelancer. Cool. Very very cool.

Why would you need at least three clients to qualify for that?
Because otherwise the tax company might not see you as self-employed, but on someone’s payroll.
If you have one client, say, then the fine lines between self-employed and having an employer become too vague. The client might then be held responsible for insurances and such (as in, when you get sick, and pension-fees etc etc).
With at least three clients, it is obvious enough for the taxcompany that you are self employed.
