read harry potter (read all 4 entries…)
A question about this goal: Okay, I'm finally giving in and I want to start reading. I don't have the first book. Should I read them in order? 2 years ago

Without a doubt, yes. Read them in order, the first three books are tiny – you can read them so easily, and you won’t get any where near as much enjoyment if you jump ahead then go back.

Absolutely! That would be like not reading the first chapter in a book and just starting in the middle after the whole setup. I’m glad you finally gave in to read these books, you’ve been missing out for years, but at least you’re in on the fun before book 7 comes out! Good luck and have fun!

Definately read them in order! Nothing will make sense if you don’t!

When I first started reading them I thought each chapter was an individual story… I was so confused when I read the middle chapter first.

Hope you enjoy them!

Yes, totally in order, they’re continuous and the others won’t make sense without their priors.

They get progressively better and longer.

They are in my opinion the greatest set of books ever, you’ve got to read them in order, some people I know have just read the most recent book and they didn’t really enjoy it as much as they should. It will spoil it for you, so yes, read them in order.

I have now read the first three books and waited to watch the movies until after reading them. Naturally the books are filled with so much more, so the movies didn’t impact me as much as they did others. I think for the 4th book, I will watch the movie first and then read the book. I just started reading them this year so I am a late bloomer too.
