I used to watch this Canadian show when I was a kid and I loved it. It’s about a German sheppard that would help people out when they were down on their luck. Everyone would want to keep him as their pet, but he never agreed to stay.
Comments:
OMG that's too funny
I used to watch this with my little brother all the time!( I had very nearly forgotten about that guy!!) He was like A Saint and Superman of the Dog world all rolled into one!....all the kids wanted what we called a “Police” Dog back than….and many years later that’s the exact same kind of Dog my son begged me for years to get ( but I was a meanie, and only let him have a Yellow Lab, a Jack Russell, 4 cats, and a kettle of fish to which sadly, have now moved onto better things in the big Fish Bowl in the Sky ) Thanks for reminding me of this Canadian Classic!
Oh great!
You found a picture! I’m so glad. I couldn’t find a good one last night.
You know, I loved the show, and I love dogs, but German Shepperds have always scared me a little. I was attacked by one when I was a child. It’s nothing serious, but I would much rather have a golden lab or a black lab anyday.
RUNRGRL wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year needs to either let 43 things go or get back into it
Whatever happened to shows like this?
Such a feel good show, I used to watch it all the time as well, you don’t get programming like this much anymore. Here’s the site where you can watch the show intro
These lyrics made me think of you Globetrotter
There’s a voice that keeps on calling me
Down the road is where I’ll always be
Every stop I make, I’ll make a new friend
Can’t stay for long, just turn around and I’m gone again.
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on.
So if you want to join me for a while
Just grab your hat, come travel light
That’s hobo style.
Maybe tomorrow, I’ll want settle down,
Until tomorrow, I’ll just keep moving on
Geez, that made me tear up!
How ironic, I was just thinking about this song as I was replying to Dharma’s comment. I’m singing it right now.
I asked myself the same question last night. What has happened to good programming? When I was growing up, I watched shows like, “Mr. Dressup”, “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood”, “The Polka-Dot Door”, “Sesame Street”, “Lassie”, “The Littlest Hobo”, and “The Greatest American Hero.” I think I turned out all right.
There seems to be a lot of junk on TV these days. I’m sure there are some good children’s shows airing right now, but I can’t think of any for the time being. I think that’s sad.
