I’m taking Chinese courses and searching for language partners to improve my Chinese. I’m taking a good friend to China in 2009 and I want to give him an inside perspective of what China is all about. I lived in China for two years while I was teaching English, but I arrived with no Chinese language skills—it was such a barrier. I can only imagine how different my experience would have been if I could communicate better with people. Wish me luck.
