i have 9 diaries so far. i’ve been writing ever since i was 13..and it has helped alot. like whenever im sad or happy i make it a point to write down my feelings, express my emotions and thoughts.
and its not all personal stuff although there’s a whole lot of personal stuff in there too. wen i 1st started i didnt make it a point to hide it…no wait . i did hide it but my lil brother was snooping around, found my diary and read it then blabbered about my ‘My dream guy’ entry to dad. i was as embarassed as embarassed could be.
since then i keep in in my cupboard. waaaaay back in my cupboard. although sometimes i hv this fear of being found out.
so to be safe i dont write all my personal stuff in there. i only write not so personal stuff, like bitching. but my uber secret stuff- i type them out so they’re safe somewhere in my computer.
writing is therapeutic. i usually feel better after writing. and oh…the pleasure of going down memory lane, reading all those old entries , curled up in ur bed on a rainy day…and reading about YOU…from the reader’s point of view and discovering something new about yourself. that’s therapy.
