need to break this down into steps.
else it’ll never get done, due to high anxiety levels

if I can do it...
you can do it too, given that I am the freakin queen of anxiety.
as others have said, when considering schools and programs, just make sure the school is ALA accredited.
good luck!! welcome to the fold
thanks much

you are totally welcome
A great thing about being in library school is that many of my fellow students are absolutely fascinating, cool, interesting people. I just had brunch with two of my classmates and, between them, they have the following past lives: theater director & stage manager, shiatsu therapist & teacher, yarn store worker, and battered women’s shelter worker. Also, most of the librarians I have met are equally interesting, fun, thoughtful people. So, you should totally apply to library school ;-)
are you (and your classmates)
full time or part time students?

both
Hi-
I work fulltime and go to school part time. I take one class per term. One of my friends in the program works full time and goes to school full time, which is 2 classes per term. Another works part time and goes to school full time (2 classes). I think it largely depends upon your program and how it is structured, whether you are encouraged to to full or part time and also whether it is possible realistically to work full time and go to school full time.
When are you coming over to the dark side?? apply to library school!! ;-)

thanks for the suggestion, dear Yrush!
it does sound like quite a library!
i don’t think, at this stage of time, though, i could be in Ohio…
(where i’d love to be is California, but right now, with my dad’s condition, i need to stay closer to NJ, as much as it’s kind of tough out here for me. I’m much more of a West Coast person…)
