living in spain hasnt exactly turned out to be the greatest thing ever and part of me wants to run back home, a large part. But then I´ll feel like I gave up and it will bug me for ever that I didnt make the most of it. Its not my fault, Madrid is just soooo boring. Maybe I should change my life direction away from foreign countries and try again.

im working with kids at the moment, but the main problem is that im stuck with kids all day and no one my own age…i wanted tto study but it would take too long to save up and pay for

what a bummer! studying would have been a great way to meet peeps your own age. i’m sure you’re sick of suggestions, have you tried going to coffee shops and other hangouts of young people? or is your area of madrid pretty much old people and little kids?

well i went out yesterday, fulled with determination and actually had alot of fun. I found a nice bar, with pool tables, and met some people…things are on the up. thanks

Or you can do what I did and try a different country… when I first left the US I moved to England, and it was okay for a while, but then it became clear I didn’t want to spend my life in a place like that, so I tried Turkey on a whim and wow! I love it. I’ve been here almost three years and it’s still fantastic. So maybe you just need to pick a different place and try again.

thanks, your message gave me a little boost that i needed today. maybe i should try a different country, France would be nice, but its going to be hard to leave my job, they really depend on me and i like to be reliable but i need to do this for myself.
